Our selected company is Chipotle and we have initiated the blog setup on Google Blogger. The contributors to our team project are Alexandra Adam, Stiven Romero, James Harris, and Destiny Thompson. Project Description: 

This project is designed to help students understand the ways real-world businesses use information systems to support their respective processes. This project calls for the selection of a company to research. Once the company is selected, students will interview the MIS manager of their company to find out what information systems they use, and how. After interviewing and collecting data during their research, students will create a report analyzing said company. Some of the topics and sections needed in this presentation include an introduction, the company’s business strategy, a structured and dynamic process analysis, recommendations on how they can improve, and finally a conclusion summarizing the research. The main parts of the presentation are the structured and dynamic process analyses, where students will pick one structured and one dynamic process and analyze them thoroughly. The recommendations are also an important part of this project, as they will show how the company can improve on several metrics. The project will be graded on the quality of the organization, the level of MIS knowledge used, the quality of the analysis and recommendations, and the organization of the report. The presentation will be graded on 4 different criteria: content, delivery, preparation, and impact.

3. Initially, the blog can be left blank except for the team number which is Group/Team C, with contributors who are Alexandra Adam, Stiven Romero, James Harris, and Destiny Thompson, and lastly, the company’s name which is Chipotle Mexican Grill.

4. The blog will be regularly updated with relevant content, information, and insights about Chipotle’s information systems.

5. The project deliverables will include the following: Research Project Acknowledgment, Project Outline, Business Strategy, Business Processes, Project Analysis, Powerpoint Presentation, and a research paper. 

Project Deadlines: 

• Research Project Acknowledgement (Milestone 1 - Unit 1 - Due 11/6/2023):

• Acknowledge that our team has reviewed project requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Restate all the requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Provide a blog address for our team.

• Project Outline (Milestone 2 - Unit 2 - Due 11/13/2023):

• Create a Google Doc for the report, and share it with team members and the instructor.

• Begin outlining our team’s report's sections (Introduction, Business Strategy, Analysis, Recommendations, and Conclusion).

• Complete the introduction section with a thesis statement, brief company description, and manager bio.

• Develop a Gantt chart and data collection plan.

• Update the blog by creating tabs for each report section and adding the Introduction section.

• Business Strategy (Milestone 3 - Unit 3 - 11/20/2023):

• Add a Five Forces analysis, competitive strategy, and value chain analysis for our chosen company which is Chipotle to the Business Strategy section in our team’s Google Doc and blog.

• Business Processes (Milestone 4 - Unit 4 - 11/27/2023):

• Select one structured and one dynamic process at our chosen company which is Chipotle.

• Describe these processes in detail, adding them to the Structured and Dynamic Process Analysis sections in our Google Doc and blog.

• Project Analysis (Milestone 5 - Unit 5 - 12/04/2023):

• Identify and describe the information systems supporting the processes selected in Milestone 4.

• Add this analysis to our Google Doc and blog.

• Project Presentation (Milestone 6 - Unit 7 - 12/18/2023):

• Create a PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 10 slides, graphically emphasizing key points.

• Include voiceovers for each team member on at least one slide.

• Submit the presentation through Blackboard/Groups.

• Research Paper and Blog (Final Milestone - Unit 8 - 12/25/2023):

• Create a Google Doc and a blog for the research paper, following the provided layout.

• Research, prepare, and present a 3000+ word report in the form of a blog.

• Include necessary sections such as a Title page, Reference list, introduction, concluding statement, topic description, technology and future trends, and references.

• Ensure correct spelling and grammar.
